AWS Bedrock only—your data never leaves AWS

CaseIntel is built exclusively on Amazon Web Services (AWS)—the world's most secure and trusted cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. We implement defense-in-depth security with VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies. Critically for legal practice: your data NEVER leaves AWS infrastructure and is NEVER sent to third-party AI providers. All AI processing uses AWS Bedrock, keeping your client data within the secure AWS environment at all times.

Yes. CaseIntel maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance, which means our security controls are independently audited annually. We also comply with HIPAA requirements for handling protected health information in medical-related cases.

Only authenticated users from your law firm can access your documents. CaseIntel implements strict role-based access control (RBAC). Administrators can control permissions at the case level. Our staff cannot access your documents without explicit permission, and all access is logged for audit purposes.

All data is stored in AWS data centers located in the United States (US-East region by default). We use Amazon S3 with server-side encryption for document storage and Amazon RDS with encryption for database storage. Data is automatically backed up with point-in-time recovery.

Yes. You have full control over your data. You can delete individual documents, entire cases, or request complete account deletion. When you delete data, it is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, including all backups.

Absolutely not. Your documents are NEVER used to train AI models. CaseIntel uses AWS Bedrock with Anthropic Claude models exclusively—your data never leaves AWS infrastructure and is never sent to third-party AI providers. Every AI request is processed in complete isolation with zero data retention. Your client communications remain confidential and privileged.

Yes. CaseIntel is designed to comply with ABA Model Rule 1.6 (confidentiality) and ABA Formal Opinion 477R on cloud-based practice. We use AWS Bedrock AI exclusively—no third-party AI vendors like OpenAI or Google. Your client data never leaves AWS infrastructure, making it easier to meet state bar ethics opinions on technology use. All data processing occurs within secure AWS regions in the United States.

Attorney-client privilege is sacred. CaseIntel protects it through: (1) AWS-only infrastructure—your data never touches third-party AI providers; (2) Zero data retention—AI models do not store or learn from your documents; (3) Complete data isolation—each firm's data is cryptographically separated; (4) Privilege detection AI that flags potentially privileged documents for review; (5) Full audit logs showing who accessed what and when. Unlike platforms that send your data to OpenAI or Google, CaseIntel keeps everything within the secure, auditable AWS environment.

Our AI classification typically achieves 90%+ accuracy for document categorization, privilege detection, and entity extraction. However, AI is a tool to assist—not replace—attorney review. We always recommend human verification for critical privilege determinations.

Yes, like any AI system, it can make mistakes. That's why CaseIntel uses a conservative approach: we flag documents that MAY be privileged for human review rather than making automatic decisions. Our system combines rule-based keyword detection with AI analysis for maximum accuracy.

CaseIntel uses AWS Bedrock with Anthropic Claude models exclusively for all AI features. Unlike other legal tech tools, we do NOT use OpenAI, Google AI, or other third-party providers. All AI processing happens within AWS infrastructure in the United States. This means your client data never leaves the secure AWS environment—critical for maintaining attorney-client privilege and meeting ethics requirements.

CaseIntel supports PDF, Word documents (.doc, .docx), text files (.txt), images (JPG, PNG, TIFF), and email formats (.eml, .msg). PDFs with text are processed directly; scanned PDFs and images use OCR technology for text extraction.

CaseIntel uses a two-phase approach: First, rule-based keyword detection scans for explicit privilege markers (e.g., "Attorney-Client Privileged", "Work Product"). Second, AI analysis examines context to identify privileged communications that may not have explicit labels. Documents are flagged by type: Attorney-Client, Work Product, Settlement, Medical/HIPAA, and more.

Yes. CaseIntel's bundle sharing feature creates secure, time-limited links for sharing document sets. Links can be password-protected, limited to a specific number of views, and revoked at any time. All access is logged for audit purposes.

Timeline extraction uses AI to identify dated events mentioned in your documents and creates a chronological timeline of case events. This helps attorneys quickly understand the sequence of events without reading every document.

Ask AI uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer questions about your case documents. When you ask a question, the system searches for relevant document passages, then uses AI to generate an answer with citations to specific documents. The AI only uses information from YOUR case documents.

Contract Redlining is an AI-powered feature that compares two versions of a contract and automatically identifies all changes, additions, and deletions. The AI analyzes each change to assess legal risk (High/Medium/Low), explains the implications, and identifies which party benefits from the change. This helps attorneys quickly understand what changed between contract versions without manual line-by-line comparison.

Upload two versions of a contract (PDF or Word), and CaseIntel will: (1) Extract text from both documents using OCR; (2) Generate a detailed line-by-line comparison; (3) Use AI (AWS Bedrock) to analyze each change for legal significance; (4) Categorize changes by risk level and type (e.g., payment terms, liability, termination); (5) Provide an executive summary of all key changes. Results include color-coded risk indicators and detailed explanations for each modification.

Contract Redlining supports PDF and Word documents (.doc, .docx). Both text-based PDFs and scanned/image-based PDFs are supported through OCR technology. The system automatically extracts text and performs the comparison, typically processing contracts in 5-10 seconds.

Contract Redlining uses advanced AI to identify and analyze changes with high accuracy. However, like all AI tools, it should be used to assist—not replace—attorney review. We recommend using the AI analysis as a starting point to quickly identify key changes, then conducting your own review of critical terms. The AI provides risk assessments and explanations to help you focus your review on the most important changes.

Yes. Contract comparison results can be viewed within CaseIntel and will soon support PDF export with the full AI analysis, color-coded changes, and executive summary. All comparisons are saved to your case for future reference.
